Q-Rack Installation

A lot of Subaru enthusiasts pride themselves on installing all their parts themselves and know that anything can be done with the right tools.

The removal of your old rack does not require any special tools that the weekend shade tree mechanic would not have in the garage. The install is made much easier with the use of a hydraulic lift, but it is not necessary. However, because you will have to remove your outer tie rods, your car may need a toe adjustment (alignment) after installation.

Due to the wide variety in Impreza models for which we build Q-Racks, it is not feasible to offer a step-by-step guide to our customers. However, as a general precaution, it is not advised to freely turn the steering wheel while the steering rack is removed. Doing so may cause damage.
